Lake Michigan is so lovely–it’s like our little ocean here in the midwest.  It was hard to leave, but here we are back again and my daughter already in kindergarten (and me suddenly feeling like an old lady).  I promised updates on the fall edition of  the kids clothes week challenge and I am working on the buttons (graphic design not being my strong suit it takes a while) and the post, which you will get after labor day I hope–fitting because the summer will be officially over. Bring on Fall.

Welcome back and beautiful picture, can’t wait for the KCWC!!!

A trip to Lake MI was our ‘big’ summer trip too. My husband’s family lives down near St. Joe. I think the fresh water and lack of critters that want to eat you beat out the ocean any day!

Glad you’re back and am looking forward to KCWC:) And having lived on both the West Coast with the Pacific nearby and in Michigan with the lake close, I think I’m partial to the lake!

I love lake Michigan… I was 18 the first (and only) time I was there… and I remember an unforgettable party with a bonfire and cute blond all-american guy… which seemed very exotic to my young Italian self!

Glad you’re back and at what you’re so good at. (My rainbow was over Galway Bay!) How about a Skype.

  7. We’re going over to the East side of the lake this weekend. Glad you had a great time.

  10. What a stunning picture! I’ve still got a couple of days until my daughter starts kindergarten. I’m not sure whether I’m more nervous for her or for her teacher…

  11. seriously?? no one has said it yet?? sigh… OK, I guess I will fulfill my “irreverent commenter” role and ask… “Meg! Is that a DOUBLE RAINBOW? it is! omygosh, it’s a double rainbow! woooOOOOO!!”

We were lucky enough to see two rainbows last week (not at the same time, though) and it’s always so magical. Can’t wait for the kids week update. Better find some lining fabric for that vintage wool I want to use for a coat for my son….
