advent calendar wip

December 1st, 2008

almost done

I know advent starts today and the calendar should really be done, but oh well. My kids don’t understand time yet, so one day late isn’t that big of a deal. I dreamed it up one very late night and honestly I don’t even know if it’ll work, but hopefully I’ll be back tomorrow to show you the finished version.  Any guesses to what it’ll be? Any fancy advent calendars that you are still working on feverishly?

Looks interesting, but I can’t figure it out yet. I’m still working on mine, and am sooo far from being done it is not even funny, maybe by Christmas.

hmmm….looks like it could be an old fashion abacus with yarn and felt loops….

Mine is still a wip as well… I had the same thought today, “They don’t understand time yet, so it should be just fine.” Maybe I’ll have to whip up a waiting-for-the-advent-calendar calendar!

It looks like it might be a felt strting of lights that you put in the bulb for every day until christmas. What ever it is I’m sure it will be wonderful!

I’m off to the hobby store today to begin ours. We are running behind as well, but that’s nothing new at the gnymph household. :~)

Love those colors! Gonna make “doors” for those little “cannisters”? And what’s going to be in them?
