My grandmother had that same stool in her house… I asked for it shortly after my first baby was born but my sister had already beat me to it. .. fond memories.

hey, at least the basket you won’t use is pretty nice to look at. if i saw one like that in a thrift by me, i’d snap it up as well! those gold shoes seem to need some wings on the side :)

Suddenly, I am 5 years old again and standing on the carousel while washing my hands at Granny Annie’s house…

I can’t believe you found one of those!

Wow, flashback here too! We had a similar stool except it said “this Kinky Stool was made for me, to brush my teeth and watch TV”. Kinky?? Hmm. I wonder what happened to it?

I love that stool and am so surprised to read there are more out there. Those gold shoes…yes…You will have to show us a pic of you wearing them.

they are a little too small. luckily I have a friend with smaller feet and bigger style who I’m hoping will love them.

Whenever I see a thrift store post from you I know I need to brace myself for the fit of jealousy I’m about to experience. Very nice scores once again!

  13. vicki says:

that basket is a TOTAL score! i would have snatched it up as well and I *definitely* don’t need it! :))

  14. How can you possibly pass up baskets so cute! Sometimes I walk around the thrift store throwing things in, then realize my cart is full of nothing but baskets and pottery- how much can one household possibly need? haha

  15. Kate says:

Oh, but that basket is something I do need! It’s so like the sewing basket I remember from my childhood and covet now for my own supplies. Since my mother downright refuses to give it to me while she’s still alive I need my own ;)
