kcwc fall 2011!

It’s time again for another edition of KCWC: kids clothes week challenge. KCWC is a twice-annual event where I challenge you to commit to sew children’s clothes for an hour each day for 7 days. Fall is coming (at least in these parts) and my kids could use some cozy pants and sweaters–and pretty soon we’ll need hats and mittens too! All that sewing is a little overwhelming, but I am always amazed at how much I get done by putting in a bit of time every day.
If you have more questions about how KCWC works, you can jump over to the FAQ page. Then jump back here and leave a comment on this post telling me you are in! That’s all it takes. Then on the second week of October there will be hundreds (really, hundreds) of people cheering you on to make awesome clothes for your kids.

I’m in because I had to buy some of the books and patterns showcased in previous KCWCs.
I was a total fail in Spring so I am going to attempt to redeem myself this Fall. The boy can only wear uniforms to school (bleh!) so it should be fun to focus more on my little girl.

I’m in! The spring version fell right as I was going out of town. I tried, but had to comes to terms with the fact that I really didn’t have the time. But this time, the timing is perfect for me! Yea!!
I’m in! Hooray! This year I plan to give my daughter a big old pile of dress-up clothes for her birthday, so I need kcwc!
I am in! I need to make up a stash of Fall and winter PJs for my little one, and I already have the fabris and patterns all picked out. Can’t wait!

I’m in! Goodness knows how I am going to fare this time as my youngest is currently 8 weeks old but I’m gonna give it a good go! Lots of preparation in advance I think!

I am in for sure. So excited and I am already thinking about what clothes I want to work on. I might even have to cut out the week before so I can try to sew as much as possible during that week. Luckily, I will not have any visitors this time around so I should be able to work on it more.
I’m definitely going to try and be in this time. Although we may be moving that week, so that may change these plans for me!
